The best of the business world already knows the value of a Clearfield address. The Clearfield Firemen’s Commerce Park is home to community anchors Appalachian Wood Products, Clearfield Brake & Drum Equipment, ELCAM, Net Shape Technologies, Lezzer Lumber, Marathon Equipment, a Dover Company, and New Enterprise Stone and Lime, employers of nearly 1,000 people. Surrounding Exit 120 are Wal-Mart Supercenter and Lowe’s, restaurants, shops, pubs, banks, a full-service truck stop and six motels, while even more shopping and dining amenities are minutes away. This neighborhood, known as Wolf Run, is a proven money-making location, steadily supported by both visitors and area residents. An ethanol plant within one mile of Exit 120 and a second 10 miles away in Curwensville will open an exciting new chapter in area business. Plus a Biomass Conversion Center of Excellence is planned in Clearfield to support the emerging biofuels industry in Pennsyvania. The Bionol Clearfield project alone will invest $270 million and employ 71 people, helping make our town America’s Alternative Energy Capitol. |

The Wal-Mart Distribution Center, located off I-80 at Exit 123, provides logistical support to 100 discount stores in a four-state area. The Center has been repeatedly recognized as the best performing and most efficient Distribution Center in the Wal-Mart logistics division. Much of the credit for this achievement is due to the dedicated workforce found in the Clearfield region. |
